About

Let us empower you with the type of knowledge formerly reserved for security professionals and high level government employees....

This year, thousands of Americans citizens will be robbed, assaulted, raped, abducted and murdered. Most of these incidents could be prevented by applying a few basic rules of personal safety and security. Lives, property and assets are needlessly lost because individuals are naïve to simple prevention measures. We live in too often a dangerous world. Just turn on the local evening news channel in Any City, U.S.A. Keeping yourself and your family safe and secure seems nearly impossible. Even the most cautious and security conscious persons can fall victim to criminal activity and acts of terrorism. While safety and security can never be guaranteed, both can be dramatically enhanced.

Increasing your ability to avoid dangerous situations can be as simple as learning and implementing a few basic strategies of personal security. Learning to be aware of your surroundings, coupled with prior planning and the application of common sense, is the biggest part of the job. It is most often easier than you think. Familiarity with your own environment and surroundings is your best defense against avoiding unforeseen dangers. This gives you a significant advantage over those who would do harm to you, your family or business.

Regardless of our circumstance, the criminal element among us has studied our movements, habits and behaviors and knows of our weaknesses to their motives. They count on catching us unaware; not knowing their strategies and tactics and how to disrupt them.

About the Education Council on Personal Safety & Security
The Education Council on Personal Safety & Security is a public service, non-profit organization which addresses personal safety and security issues for children, adults and the community at large. This program is part a of national effort to bring crime prevention and anti-terrorism information to community, corporate, government, civic groups and individuals. Statistic show that most acts of crime and terrorism can be prevented if one knows what to look for in advance of the act. Certain types of violent crime continue to rise in America. This is not inevitable nor fate. This is directly related to the fact that most Americans are unfamiliar with the ways of common criminals. Nor have they had access to ongoing crime prevention education, strategies and tactics to effectively defend themselves, their families, business or community. It is the mission of ECOPSS to fill the void of ongoing crime prevention and
anti-terrorism education and training.
